There are MANY different shapes that are used in creating designs with fabric and thread in EPP, and curved edged templates can be a little more challenging than a hexagon, jewel or diamond.
Michele will teach you a quick and easy way to create EPP designs using various curved templates using scraps! A short power point program on what you can make and do with a variety of curved pieces will be presented for inspiration.
In Project 1, (brown and yellow fabrics in photo), learn the basic skill of working with a curved edge by using 6 hex dens to make the petals; and then the petals will be sewn to a center hexagon to form a flower.
In Project 2, (red, black and white fabrics in photo) Michele will teach you how to make individual apple cores from fabric; and then sew the apple cores together to make a mug rug.
In Project 3, (green, burgundy, tan fabrics in photo), you will learn Michele’s glue and baste technique of making and sewing clam shells on a base fabric.
* Please note that this is a FUN, stress free technique class so the projects will not be finished in class.
* Please note that the fabric in the kits will be different than the ones shown in the photograph of the projects.
