Fun Facts about Road to California!
The best way to communicate with Road to California is via email
Road technical support is NOT outsourced in anyway
Most large facilities do NOT allow outside food to be brought in and consumed on site. The Ontario Convention Center has a strict policy on outside food. If you bring your lunch, please make plans to eat outside the building.
Preview Night is 7PM - 9 PM on Wednesday evening. It is primarily for students to view the quilts on display in the exhibit hall. The vendor mall is NOT open. Entry is by badge or multi-day pass only. We do not sell tickets for preview night because the vendor mall is not open.
Road to California Showcase
Road to California Showcase is open to national and international entries! Showcase sections include Art Quilts, Traditional Quilts, Innovative Quilts, Pieced, Applique, Mixed, and Other.
Every year Road to California Quilters' Showcase is pleased to offer guilds an opportunity to display and sell tickets for their raffle quilts. There are six spaces per day reserved for raffle quilts for the four-day Showcase. We ask that each guild provide 20 hours of volunteer service for each day the quilt is displayed. To request a space please fill out the form on our Raffle Quilts page. If your guild is selected to display your raffle quilt, you must provide documented proof of your current registration with the California Attorney General's Registry of Charitable Trusts.
Quilt Appraisals
Protect your valued quilts, both old and new, with an appraisal by professional appraisers certified by the American Quilter's Society. It is essential if you want a fair replacement value for a lost, stolen or damaged quilt from an insurance company. This is as important for quilts that you have just made, as well as older quilts. The cost of a written appraisal is $50 per quilt and a verbal evaluation is $25. Please contact Julia Zgliniec (rzglini1@san.rr.com) for those wishing to schedule an apprasial. Details for appraisals of quilts hanging in the show will be mailed with acceptance letters.
