This piece portrays this same dissemination of small, medium and large "confetti" particles radiating in all directions. The circular quilting further defines the dispersion idea.

Artist statement: Being a fairly new quilter, this pattern gave me many new challenges. Needle-turn appliqué, setting squares on point, and the most challenging, finding all the coordinating fabrics for the different flowers. I loved doing the hand quilting.

To enhance the "stones" in the wall and give them height, each is stuffed with batting. The wisteria flowers are created from multiple layers of silk and metallic fabrics fused together. A warm, cozy house, lots of flowers perfuming the air, an open door that beckons you in...can you not smell dinner on the table? Come on in! "Mi casa es su casa."
