Began as small original papercut style medallion block for wall quilt. Improvising on them quilt continued to grow. Hand-dyed fabrics, machine pieced, appliquéd. Machine quilted with silk and rayon threads. Ironically, original medallion was replaced.

There were no telephone lines on our gravel road until I was out of college, grown up and gone. Letters were important. They were very important.

Susan Rossi drew my name for a Christmas gift exchange and made the compasses and set them in the center. I added the border, appliquéd leaves and quilted it.

Twenty split LeMoyne Feathered Stars swirl in this quilt, while 32 smaller stars dance around in the corners. Primrose Gradations, batiks and commercial prints were used in this paper-foundation piecing.

This quilt was inspired by an antique quilt. It is extremely handsome with original appliqué and quilting designs. It has embroidery and the quilting is enhanced with trapunto.

In Oregon fisherman thrill to see the seasonal river run of spawning salmon and trout. Now my fisherman can see them all year around. Soft-edge appliqué, free motion quilting complemented by traditional piecing in background.

My inspiration came from overpainted, hand-dyed batik and commercial cotton fabrics. The flowers, leaves and stems are machine appliquéd onto a purple organza background. Machine embroidery, with variety of weights of threads and machine quilted.
