Our first Young Peoples Contest was sponsored by the Southern California Quilt Shop Owners Association. The winners are: Winners should contact their sponsoring store for prize information after February 9. All quilts may be picked up at the sponsoring store after February 9. Road to California wishes to thank all the contestants and we hope they will enter again next year. Everyone really enjoyed this exhibit! |

| Best of Show - Wearable, 2004 My Mama said 'Life is like a box of Chocolates' Rami Kim Granite Bay, CA Silk dupioni, cottons and brocade fabrics are combined in this ensemble. A mermaid opens a giant seashell to find a tiny baby asleep inside, instead of a pearl. I stitched the mermaid's and baby's hair one strand at a time. A scene of true love, it touches me deeply. |
